"Lord of the powers be with us, for in times of distress we have no other help but You. Lord of the powers have mercy on us."

(Great Compline)

We are in a time where we have to put our complete faith in God. We are in uncharted waters, in unprecedented times and it's not easy for us in all walks of life, be it churches, families, businesses, society, indeed the whole world. We hope and pray we get through this in every way. Be aware that in the church we are praying for you. Even though we are temporarily not gathering together as a community, we are still a parish who loves, cares, and wants the best for each other.
Until the day all of us can gather together once again to worship God, during the Divine Liturgy in church, please pray. Pray for strength and guidance. Pray for a miracle. Ask the Virgin Mary for her intercessions. May angels protect us and be around us. It a time to appreciate all of God's blessings and to look forward to the day, hopefully at some point sooner rather than later, when we can gather once again to adore the Father Son and Holy Spirit. Until then, continue to be a people of hope during this trying time "for God is with us."

Father James Pavlow

St. George Greek Orthodox Church is a vibrant parish with many ministries. We are located near the capital of New Jersey, Trenton. Our Greek Orthodox Church is a very blessed, welcoming community. The heart and soul of the church is the Divine Liturgy which we offer on Sundays and feast days of the year. The church however has, as part of its dynamic, many other aspects that are part of the life of the parish. We have Sunday School that educates our young people religiously. Greek School that teaches them the modern Greek, that also has roots from the ancient language of the New Testament. There is the GOYA ministry for the teenagers which includes an athletic program, basketball for the boys and volleyball for the girls. The Greek Folk Dance program teaches our young people from five years old through eighteen traditional formal Greek dance that has been passed on for generations. There is also an active pre-school which has a Greek bi- lingual program. We have a Seniors Group that meets once a month for fellowship and lunch. The Philoptochos, a national women’s ministry, helps the poor. The Parish Council is a ministry that works diligently to oversee the finances and well-being of the community.

You are welcome to come worship with us on Sundays followed by a coffee fellowship hour. If you have any needs sacramentally, spiritually or otherwise, do not hesitate to contact the office. I conduct regular office hours and I make myself available for appointments whenever needed as well.

May God continually guide and bless us.
